Steve Suttill
Pastor/ Elder
Steve Suttill grew up in Laveen, Arizona, where his spiritual journey began early. At just six years old, Steve recognized his need for salvation and placed his faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized a short time later. Steve graduated from Trevor Browne High School in Phoenix. It was there that he met his wife, Patty. Together, they have built a loving home and are proud parents to three grown children. Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Southwestern Bible College (now ACU) in 2000, and a Master of Divinity from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2004. Steve has faithfully served in several ministry roles, including Director of Youth Ministries and pastoral positions at churches in Missouri and Arizona. Throughout his life and ministry, Pastor Steve has been guided by steadfast faith in God’s sovereign grace and mercy, a genuine love for people, and a sincere desire to serve the church. Steve was called as Pastor of PRBC in January of 2026.
James Callahan
Elder
James Callahan was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He and his wife Sarah, have raised three boys in central Phoenix and have been blessed with five grandchildren. Mr. Callahan is a graduate of West High School, Phoenix College, Arizona State University and the University of Arizona. He has also attended Moody Bible Institute Distance Learning Program and Phoenix Seminary. Mr. Callahan has been a High School and Community College teacher for 41 years. He is now retired. James and Sarah began attending Phoenix Reformed Baptist Church in 1980 and became members in 1984. Mr. Callahan was elected an elder of the congregation in May of 2015 and holds the primary teaching responsibility for the adult Sunday School class.
Paul Shaneck
Elder
Paul Shaneck was born and raised in Winthrop, Massachusetts. Paul and his wife Pat married in 1974. Paul and Pat have two sons and seven grandchildren. Paul graduated from Northeastern University in Boston MA with BSIE and MBA degrees. Paul, Pat and Family were members of Grace Covenant Baptist Church (also a LBC 1689 confessional church) in Flemington NJ from 1985 until 2015 where he was a Deacon for 28 years. Paul and Pat are full time AZ residents now. Paul and Pat joined Phoenix Reformed Baptist Church in 2016 and Paul was elected as a Deacon in 2019, then elected as an Elder in 2023.
Dave Anderson
Deacon
Dave was born in San Diego, California and shortly after that his family moved to El Paso, Texas where he was raised. Dave has three children, two sons and one daughter who live on their own and he has two grandsons. He married his wife Remy in 2003 who is from the Philippines, and they have been members at PRBC since 2005. Remy works in the medical field and Dave works as a commercial truck driver and has held this occupation for 23 years. He undertook biblical studies through Ligonier Ministries and developed a deep interest in the Reformed and Puritan writings. He has served in various jail and prison ministries for many years, bringing the Scriptures to those who are incarcerated. At PRBC he serves on a rotational basis as a Sunday School teacher for both High School and Adult class. Dave was elected to serve as a Deacon in July of 2023.
Sean Cornell
Deacon
Sean Cornell was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. He married his wife Deanna in 2018 and they are the parents of one daughter. Sean is a veteran of the United States Navy, where he served as an electrician in the Reactor Department of a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. After his service in the Navy, Sean began work in the semiconductor industry and has worked in that field for over twenty years. Sean has been a member of Phoenix Reformed Baptist Church since December 2012 and was elected to the diaconate by the congregation in March of 2023. Sean frequently delivers the devotional message for the Wednesday Prayer Meetings. He also serves in the regular rotation as Sunday School teacher for the High School class, and occasionally teaches the Adult Sunday School class. Sean enjoys studying Baptist Covenant Theology and Church History. He also enjoys attending various gospel-oriented conferences and seminars when able.
